[SATIRE] Frustrated Sunny Deol Fan Wages Bizarre Twitter War Against PM as Centre Extends Lockdown

Ludhiana. In an apparent case of coronavirus-induced psychosis, a man here has gone berserk on social media as the centre today announced its decision to extend the nationwide lockdown by another 2 weeks.

The man who goes by the name of Tara Singh is a self-proclaimed Sunny Deol fan, and for the last several years has been traveling to Deol’s birthplace, Sahnewal, every Sunday to pray at the local gurudwara for the star’s long health.

However, he had taken a break from his weekly ritual owing to the lockdown and was looking forward to visiting Sahnewal again next week. But as the news of lockdown extension started trickling in, all hell broke loose and Tara took to social media to express his anguish through a series of tweets.

After he had tagged the official Twitter handle of the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a surprising turn of events, apparently chose to respond from his personal handle, using another popular dialogue from the film Rowdy Rathore.

There was no stopping Tara though, and his Twitter rant continued. According to our sources, he had applied for a vehicle pass that would allow him to travel, even as Ludhiana has been listed in the Red Zone by the Central Government. His application, we understand, had been rejected by the local authorities.

However, the war of words took a serious and alarming turn with Tara’s next few tweets. The police and the security machinery sprang into action after what they considered was a veiled threat at the PM.

Our sources tell us that the Punjab Police has successfully tracked Tara Singh down and has put him under round the clock surveillance. NSA Ajit Doval is personally monitoring the situation and is understood to have advised the PM to not engage in further Twitter war with the man.

The PM, though, seemed to have paid little heed to the advice and was quick to post a riposte, using another dialogue from what seems to be his favourite film, Rowdy Rathore!

Meanwhile, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has tweeted his support for Tara Singh. He has also questioned the Prime Minister’s repeated use of dialogues by one particular actor. However, he seemed to have his knowledge of Indian languages all mixed up!

His offer for help, though, was quickly shot down by Tara Singh!

Reports suggest that Rahul Gandhi’s security cover has also been beefed up.

Talking to us over the phone, Tara Singh’s wife Sakina Kaur, however, assured that her husband was quite harmless. She said, “Arey maarne kaatne ki sirf baat karte hain, life me ek aloo tak nahi kaata inhone aaj tak!”

She also revealed that her actual name was in fact Damini. “Shaadi ke baad zabardasti change karwaaya, yeh bolkar ki Damini ki to Rishi Kapoor se shaadi hui thi! We’ve been married for 7 years now, but he still calls me Madamji! How irritating is that?”

But according to Sakina, what bothers her most is her husband’s obsession with Sunny Deol’s dialogues even at home.

“Every time I ask him to get vegetables from the market, he brings the same quantity. Na zyaada, na kam, always dhai kilo!”
